Sensation returns to Saint-Petersburg with Source Of Light

On June 8th, 2013 the world’s leading dance event returns to Saint-Petersburg, Russia with its new show the ‘Source of Light’, a never seen before visual spectacle with worldclass acrobats and dancers presenting stunning pyro and laser acts surrounding a radiating sphere.

For the 6th consecutive year in a row, Sensation will transform the SKK Arena into the biggest club on earth. The ticket sales start on Monday December 24, 2012 via Sensation.com and concert.ru.

The  ‘Source of Light’ show is all about unity: becoming part of a world in which borders fade, celebrating the spirit of togetherness while gathered around a radiating sphere. Experience the ‘all is one’ feeling with thousands of other music aficionados, all united in white, amazed by the unparalleled visuals, dazzling lasers, fireworks and aerial acts.

This year Saint-Petersburg becomes an exclusive place for the festival in the CIS.  Annually at the period of white nights thousands of people dressed in white come to the city from different corners of Russia and the former Soviet Republics to become a part of the legendary Sensation show.

Sensation was held for the first time in the Netherlands in 2000, where the show has been running annually since. Sensation’s white dress code was, however sadly, born from a tragic event. Duncan Stutterheim, one of the three founders of ID&T, lost his brother Miles in a car accident in 2001. As a tribute to Miles, all visitors were informally asked to dress in white for the 2001 show. More than 80% of the visitors adhered to this tribute. This marked the birth of the well-known Sensation dress code as we know it today.

Conquering 5 continents, shows in over 20 countries and attracting 1.8 million visitors, Sensation successfully unites the world in white.
